Using Ebb
-
Tap it on the Log screen. Tap again to set how strong it was: None, Mild, Moderate or Severe.
-
Yes. Ebb has 72 symptoms in 21 groups, and you can add your own.
-
Yes. You can log any past day. There are no streaks to keep.
-
Open Reports, choose the last 30, 60 or 90 days, preview it, then share or save the PDF. It leaves your iPhone only when you send it.
-
Yes. Take a photo or screenshot of your results, or choose a PDF or image. Ebb reads the values on your iPhone using Apple’s built-in text recognition, and you check and edit each row before saving. The original photo or file isn’t kept, only the rows you confirm (name, value, unit, range and date). Your doctor report lists them with the reference range printed on your lab report, and shows how many are within or outside the lab’s reference range. Ebb doesn’t interpret your results, so discuss them with your doctor.
-
Ebb is for iPhone only right now.
Your data
-
Only on your iPhone, in one file that your iPhone’s encryption protects while it’s locked. There’s no account and no Ebb server, and nothing you log is sent to us.
-
Ebb doesn’t store your data in iCloud or on any Ebb server. Ebb’s data file may be included in your iPhone’s or computer’s backup, which is controlled by you and Apple.
-
Deleting the app removes all of Ebb’s data from your iPhone. If a device backup included Ebb’s data file, restoring that backup may bring it back. We never hold a copy, so we can’t recover your data for you.
-
You can share your doctor report as a PDF using the iOS share sheet. There’s no other export.
-
In Ebb, go to Settings > Delete all my data, then confirm. This removes everything Ebb stores on your iPhone. You can also delete individual lab reports, or delete the app. A device backup made earlier may still contain Ebb’s data file until that backup is deleted.
-
No. Ebb has no analytics, ads, tracking or third-party code. If you’ve turned on Share with App Developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports, which don’t include what you log. You can turn it off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
-
Ebb itself makes no network connections. The only link in the app goes to the source of the symptom list on PubMed, and tapping it opens the PubMed website. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store, with no third-party subscription service.
-
Only the people you choose to send it to.
Subscription
-
US$6.99 a month or US$49.99 a year, with a 1-month free trial on both plans. There’s no free tier and no lifetime option. Local prices may vary and are shown in the App Store before you subscribe.
-
If you subscribe, nothing changes and you carry on as before. If you don’t, logging, Today, Insights, Reports and Labs pause until you subscribe. Your logs are still there: you can open Ebb, look back at everything you’ve logged, and use Settings to manage your subscription, restore a purchase or delete your data. We never delete your data or hold it back.
-
In Ebb, go to Settings > Manage subscription. Or on your iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Ebb. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or current period ends to avoid the next charge.
-
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
-
Make sure you’re signed in with the Apple ID you subscribed with, then tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or in Ebb’s Settings. You can also check your subscription status in Settings.
-
Your subscription comes with your Apple ID. Your logs move only if you restore a device backup that includes Ebb’s data file.
