Data Security

On your iPhone

Everything you log is stored on your iPhone. There’s no account to make, no password to remember and no Ebb server holding a copy. It’s kept in one file that iOS encrypts and that can’t be read while your iPhone is locked, and each save is written in one step, so it isn’t left half-written. Blood test photos and files are read on your iPhone and not kept; only the values you confirm are saved.

Your iPhone’s protection

Your iPhone’s own security protects Ebb’s data: your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS encryption. Set a strong passcode to keep it that way.

No accounts, no tracking

No sign-up, no Ebb servers, no ads and no tracking. No analytics of any kind and no third-party code: Ebb uses only Apple’s own frameworks, and it makes no network connections of its own. Its privacy manifest declares no tracking and no data collected.

Sharing is up to you

Your doctor report is made on your iPhone. It leaves only when you share it, through the iOS share sheet, such as AirDrop, Mail, Files or print. Check who you’re sending it to: once it’s sent, it’s outside Ebb.

Backups

Ebb’s data never goes to an Ebb server or to iCloud sync. Ebb’s data file may be included in your iPhone’s or computer’s backup, which is controlled by you and Apple. [Placeholder: final backup decision pending; confirm before launch.] [Legal review: check against Apple 5.1.3(ii).]

Deleting

In Ebb, go to Settings > Delete all my data, then confirm. Deleting the app also removes everything, and you can delete individual lab reports. A device backup made earlier may still hold Ebb’s data file until that backup is deleted. We can’t restore deleted data, because we never have a copy.
